Enhanced extraction of phenolic compounds from mango by-products using deep eutectic solvents

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) potential for the extraction of polyphenolic compounds (PC) from mango by-products (peel and seed) was evaluated. Ultrasound (US) agitation were applied to evaluate effects solvent methodology. The extracts characterized with antioxidant capacity HPLC-DAD profile. A theoretical study performed using density functional theory QTAIM approach. β-alanine choline chloride based DESs effective extract PC peel seed. Some DES increased up three times (23.05 ± 1.22 mg/g DW) five time seeds (60.01 1.40 DW). profile varied (DES vs EtOH/MeOH), procedure (US agitation) material or seed).
